Why does african american hair stay still?

It stays still only if you have to much product in it. Try using light stuff, Motions has a new line called weight less you can try. Buy every thing the shampoo, conditioner, setting lotion and hair cream. You can also try Paul Mitchell's Awpapui moisture shampoo and The conditioner. Wash and condition then set with the PM mousse with medium rollers and sit under a dryer depending on how long your hair is about 30 to 45 Min's. There is also a Foaming Pomade when your hair has dried. Put a little Foaming Pomade the size of a pea in the Palm of your hands rub together leave it to foam up rub hands together again then apply to your dry hair and then wrap it leaving it wrapped for about 2Min's then brush it out and you will have body. If you put to much it will flop.

An unusual question. I suspect that you are not African American. Just want a reference regarding how to answer your question. Women of color use different products depending upon our hair type just as other women. If you wear it naturally (twists or afro) it just stays where you put it. Other times, we use styling gels and hair sprays also. It appears to me that women of color just begin with more body in our hair to begin with as opposed to the hair of women of other cultures. If you could be a bit more specific about a style then you might get a more specific answer. HTH.

Need to use products that adds body to your hair. Or your applying a lot hair dressing products that contain petroleum jelly and beeswax. My hair bounces when i walk, I never had that problem. I use shampoos and conditioners that adds body, and use hair dressings that contains natural herbs and vitamins.
