White Girl using African American Hair Grease?

I have used B%26amp;B hair grease for years and I am a white girl, but my friend said that using black hair grease will make my hair not grow and that it will clog my hair follicles and cause a decrease in growth. I am currently growing my hair long and do not want that too happen....Does anyone really know?

Um, a lot of black people(well the ones who are smart about hair) don't use that crap. It will clog your scalp pores which will result in delayed growth. DO NOT use the grease. ESPECIALLY if one of the first ingredients is "mineral oil" or "petrolatum"

Your hair is fine.

Don't worry about it! My mom is white (I'm mixed) and she has used African American hair products nothing happens as far as I have seen.

I don't see why you need to use hair grease. However hair grease can clog pores if it has ingredients like petroleum in it. If you want to use a hair grease I would suggest natural hair products like 100%shea butter.

OK., I am going to assume that you don't really think that your scalp is so different than a woman of color. Do you think that if it prevented growth in your hair that it somehow would not effect theirs? If the product had mineral oil in it I would say stop using it to you or anyone else using it but B%26amp;B hair grease does not have mineral oil in it therefore it should not be a problem. Your friend is probably assuming that it is a petroilioum product. Apparently she thinks that petroilium products only affect white people. Sorry to repeat myself but really it is a bit shocking that someone would even consider that.
