Do you get your hair roller set, or do you get it marceled?

Marcel irons get MUCH hotter than most irons people use at home, so you need to get a high heat electric marcel iron from someplace like Sallys or a beauty supply store where you live. Make sure you have some kind of marcel wax or pressing oil (does the same thing - just protects the hair). After you've washed and dried your hair, lightly apply some wax or oil and curl your hair in whichever way. Use hairspray after.

If you roll your hair, make sure before you roll, that while your hair is wet, you use mousse (I have the best luck on clients when I use VolumeLock or V05 Whipped Mousse) throughout your hair. If you apply too much, your hair won't dry and it'll be sticky. Spray each section before you roll it with setting lotion, after you've rolled your hair spray on some oil sheen, then sit under the dryer until you're COMPLETELY dry, and give yourself another spray of oil sheen. Finish with hair spray.

That's how I roller set hair in the salon.

Well, to give it body, shine, AND longer lasting curls, I use "Motions Wrapping Lotion". It comes in a clear bottle and it's not really lotion because it has a foam-like consistancy. You can find this product at your local grocery store and/or your local beauty supply store.

How to use it, is you apply it to your roots while your hair is wet (after it's been lightly towel dried), then you blow dry your hair and flat iron it. If you wrap your hair every night, then your hair will maintain body, and movement while keeping the curls!

Use a foaming wrap lotion, Motions and Soft %26amp; Beautiful are the best. This gives hold without making hair hard. To add more shine to hair either use a oil sheen, I prefer a natural oil shiner or mink oil. You can also add few drops of oil to hand and distribute to hair while fingers styling, Kemi-Oyl is my favorite Oil to use on my hair.

well, my friend has hair just like that, and what she does is just pull it back in a really tight, and small ppony tail, and then buys black ribbons, and covers up the real hair wit hthem, it looks pretty cool.

after shampooing your hair and conditioning it really well, set your hair on the roller with some foaming lotion.once your hair is completely dry remove rollers and use some hot six oil, botanical oil or the oil of your choice.use enough to suit you.after you have applied the oil,go back under the dryer for at least 5minutes.i do this all the time.i like hot six oil and you can get that from most beauty stores for a reasonable price.i have used botanical oil made by aloxxi but that stuff is expensive and i found that hot six oil does a great job.
