I don't know about tea but I have heard of tea tree oil which is used to heal damaged, broken hair. Check it out.

No I have not. I use Fantasica IC tea shampoo, which I love! I have seen tea oils at the local beauty supply store. But I have never used regular brewed tea. Try the tree oils first. Beware of products they say are for black hair and make sure it has a low pH balance.

Never and over brushing your hair is really bad. This causes the hair to stretch and break off.
