African American hair products?
if i remeber correctly wild growth was recommended to me by a stylist to make my edges grow back, i havent tried it yet though. i recommend you buy some books, so you can learn which products are best for you type of hair. curly hair needs to be conditioned and moisturized a lot more than straight hair. a lot of products out there are not good for hair, they contain things like petrolatum and silicone, and mineral oil. try to stay away from those, they build up on the hair. try going for more natural alternatives, like jojoba oil, olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and all natural hair products, i get mine from whole foods. use moisturizing shampoo and condition after every shampoo. deep condition your hair with protein conditoner, and mositurizing conditioner. alternate between the two because if you use protein conditioners too much it can dry out your hair. defintiely get your hair trimmed at least every six weeks. braids are good styles to use when growing your hair, but dont braid too tight that will cause breakage and hair loss from the scalp. try cornrows or two strand twists, or a curly fro. right now i have a protein conditioner called u need a conditioner by JOYCE WILLIAMS SYSTEM HAIR PRODUCTS . i also bought a moisturizing conditoner from whole foods called aubrey, http://www.aubrey-organics.com/about/art... when combing hair, do it wet to prevent breakage and use a wide tooth comb. stay away from heat as much as possible unless ur deep conditioning.try using rollers for styles instead of a flat or curling iron. join online forums and see what others do to grow their hair. like nappturality.com
good luck

1. I have no idea about Wild Growth. Is your hair permed or natural?
2. Your washing depends on you and your hair type. I wash mine weekly.
3. Anything that is moisturizing works well. I use Loreal's Nature Therapy shampoo and conditioner. I also use Silk Sheen's glossing polish. Stay away from products with alcohol in them.
4. Get a hair trim every 6-8 weeks and stay away from curling irons and flat-irons if you use them more than 3 times a week.
5. Tips? I flat-iron my hair once a week and wrap it every night. I then tie it down with a satin scarf. It bounces right back every morning.
6. I have never worn braids or weave BUT for the people I know who do/did....it breaks your hair off and out.
7. You'll see results as soon as you get a consistent regime for your hair.
8. As far as styles go, you can wrap it, roller-set it for massive body, clip it half way up; do a messy low bun; wear it stick straight.
Keep your hair healthy and it will always look good regardless to the style. Good luck!
