I have VERY thick hair, when I go to the hairdresser they cry because of how thick it is.
I don't want to use heat on it because it'll break off.
Blow drying it straight is a joke, because nothing happens.
Perms don't work and when they do they break my hair off.
What do I do?
I've been putting weaves in my hair, but I don't want to have to keep doing that.
Any suggestions, any pros?

sounds like me( and corbin bleu probally). i get twist or braids with my regular hair. everynow and then i straighten it. just dont leave it straight too long b/c it will break. also look in sophisticates black hair and there is allways a pullout section called braids and natral style guide also if u get a coarse perm every 7-8 weeks it shouldnt break. also use b and b grease everyday.

Well without heat it's very hard to say. I have a perm but it only looks permed after I blow dry and straighten it. You could just go natural. If I have questions about my hair I go to this hair forum where African American women talk about their hair and it's extremely informational. Here's the link and good luck!

There is a product line you MUST MUST try. It's called Ojon. It's hideously expensive, but it is absolutely the best stuff for hair, by a lot, and is wonderful for ethnic textured hair. QVC sells a starter kit (shampoo, conditioner, the treatment oil) for not too much.
On a personal note, forget straightening you hair chemically, and only use heat to do so for a change once in a while (after using Ojon you will be able to dry and iron you hair). Celebrate your hair AS IS sister! Many women pay big bucks to have what you have naturally. :-)

cut it very short and put much coconut oil on it everynight to soften it. just soften it, and make it naturely curly. so, it is going to be cool.

I have extremely thick hair also and I know how you feel. I have been getting weaves also mostly so that I don't have to do my real hair.
Anyway, for a while I was get my hair pressed (hot combed) but that takes all day with thick hair.
You can try a natural relaxer which is not necessarily a relaxer. It is actually is a hair treatment that works like a texturizer. So you aren't going to get straight hair but instead get your natural curl pattern to relax. Look into the Natural-Laxer Plus from Baka Beauty Products. It will make your hair softer and softer with use.
Good luck and I hope this helps. And be happy that you have thick hair because it's a blessing.

you need to have a consultation with a hairstylist. That way they can discuss what plan of action will suit your hair best.
