It depends on what kind of braids your getting silky works for micros,picies,and braids that hang down.The Yaky works for braids to the back and in a pony tail.

get yaky perm..Silky is a silkier texture..ex. asain hair..not as silky but close to it..and if your hair is coarse, its not going to look nice because it's going to be coarse on the top and then really straight and silky on the bottom...yaky perm, is straight and it has more texture. like you have a relaxer in..so that works best for hair that is relaxed.
