Are there any alternatives for relaxing your hair? I stopped relaxing my hair a few months ago and I keep it washed and moisturized. My problem is that my natural hair is now growing in and my roots are thick and kinky and it hard to style my hair with it. Most days I just wear it down with a hat over it to keep it from puffing out.
Also are their any hair products that you could recemmed me? I'm using Pantene Pro-V Relaxed and Natural Shampoo, Contiditioner, and Moisturizer.
For African American Hair...?
I dont know about you, but Ive been thinking about not getting perms anymore, I think Im gonna go all natural. Dreads have came to mind also......forget those perms....not good on the brain. erm..like...I heard that for all natural black hair u have to shampoo and deep condition it all the time, including clipping ends, to prevent breakage in the process of growing out the perm. Try the shampoos "Creme of Nature" thats what I use at home. There are different kinds of Creme of Nature though, they have one for dyed hair, or permed, and I 4got the others but u have to check into that. You'd most likely find it at Sally' Beauty Supply in the Shampoo section. Its a tan body and it has either red writing on it or green, just depends on the kind it is.

go to your hairdresser and tell her your problem because she/he is a professional and will give you better advice than anyone on Yahoo! Answers.
try a ceramic flat iron if all else fails. =]

Dreads are cool.
Maybe try that.
For African American Hair...?
well first stop using pantene because it completely weighs hair down and isn't really good for our hair type, but i would suggest just washing it weekly, condition and wrap it.
