I'm new at the whole relaxer thing, so I need BIG help. How often do I wash and condition my hair? What kind of grease to use. I know how to wrap my hair, but I dont know how to put on one of those satin scarfs??

i relax my hair every 3 months if you relax it too often it jus wont grow..the less relaxing the better.Personally I wash my hair every week.....conditioner is the most important.I reccommend Pantene Pro-V for women of color..the best.NOO GREASE!!!!Grease only weighs your hair down..honestly believe me.Hope I helped!!

BLACK TEXTURE TENDS TO BECOME OILY ALREADY.YOU CAN ALSO USE A LIGHT HAIR POLISH APPLYING IT TO THE PALMOF YOUR HANDS AND THEN TO YOUR HAIR IF YOUR HAIR BECOME DRY OR DULL LOOKING. USE A SATIN SCARF TO WRAP YOUR HAIR STARTING FROM THE LEFT.

like a month after wash ur hair not everyday or week cause ur hair wont grow an ur washin the perm out just grease the scalp every other week

just fold it in half put long part on top tie other end at back of head something like dat just depends on tha scarf

I wash mine once a week, like every Sunday and I deep condition every 2 to 3 weeks by applying conditioner and sitting under a dryer (I use a Gold N Hot Hard Hat Dryer) for 20 minutes. I believe the Pantene Relaxed and Natural collection is real good. I also use Olive Oil on my hair. Not the stuff you cook with, the stuff they sell at the hair store. It works pretty well. They have a whole line of hair products. I used to wrap my hair for years, and I found that using a DOO RAG, like what the guys wear, was the best way to keep my wrap in place. For a little sheen between washings, I use Black and Sassy's OIL SHEEN IN A JAR. Just put a little in the palm of your hand and just rub it through your hair. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

Why do our people continue to let whites call us African Americans, and WE GO ALONG WITH IT and call ourselves that too? Africa is a continent. Thats like calling white people European Americans. There is no such thing as a citizen of Africa. Makes us look as ignorant as the whites who call us that.
